No body is born efficient or inefficient. We need to follow the following 10 virtues to achieve success in life and develop good personality.
10 Virtues to lead a happy and successful life:
1. First things first:
Before commencing or undertaking any work or project, we have to think twice and should know about the things to be done first of all. For example, we should have to mobilize sufficient finances and able to secure skilled man power, etc.
2. Be proactive:
One must be highly active in his daily activities and be moving.
Success Quote: “A stagnant water becomes dirty and emits bad odor, where as flowing water is clean and fresh“.
So moving or active is nature’s phenomena and it doesn’t like laziness. Same applies to us also, if we want to success in life. Hence be prompt in your attempts.
3. Think win and certainly you will win:
Positive motivation is a good sign in getting success. You know pretty well that “faith moves mountains”. There is always hope in positive thinking. Any work is well started is equal to half done. So, never get despair and always dream about success and you will be crowned with success. But there should be no lacunae in our efforts.
4. Aim to overcome the obstacles:
Certain problems might crop up unexpectedly, viz. scarcity of resources, shortage of men, lack of unity, powerful rivals, ill-health, etc. We should not get disappointed when countered by such problems. But only weaklings give up at this stage. The capable ones analyze the problems carefully, plan accordingly and take suitable steps to get them over.
5. Find out new methods (angles):
When things are moving at a normal pace in an organization, there is scope for improvement. Therefore, one should take to innovative methods to improve further the quality and speed of the work. That prompts them to invent new angles of operation in this direction. Fix the time-limits for each and every type of work, which are being under taken in your organization or at your place of working. One should keep pace with the changing times.
6. Seek advices and suggestions:
One should continue seeking the suggestions and advices from his colleagues and other experienced persons in that field. Otherwise progress comes to a stand still. Whatever may be your place in the hierarchy of your organization, success should always be your motto.
7. Have the confidence:
Confidence is nothing but trust, which provides the tryst for transactions. Confidence should emanate from within, on the self first and on others next. Be trustworthy not only in your family but also in the organization where you work in. For to obtain confidence, one has to work hard, to prove his worthiness and dependability. Be straight forward, keep the promises you have made and behave with justice towards others, and in turn they will bring good reputation and trustworthiness to you from others.
Remember always “trustworthiness is the back bone to anybody to work in any organization’’. A liar can’t thrive.
8. Take timely decisions:
Taking a proper decision and also at the proper time is a crucial factor and one should not postpone it. If need be, one may consult either elders or superiors, analyze the issue and appropriate decision has to be taken.
9. Sharpen the saw:
Always be in touch with the latest information and sharpen your brain with up-to-date knowledge. As the saw needs periodical sharpening to work in a better way of cutting any thing, our brain needs periodical feeding with the latest information available in that particular field, where you are working.
Now a days, we find heavy competition in every field. We should also not lag behind in obtaining latest information.
10. Find alternatives:
If there are two or more alternatives for your decision, proceed in a systematic way. Devote considerable time and make a list of the alternatives available along with their merits and demerits and the likely consequences and repercussions. If necessary, take the help of experts in that field. Then discuss with them in detail and implement the right alternative method which helps in improving the quality of the work and also image of the organization.
