Famous incidents in Abraham Lincoln’s life:

1. February 12, 1809: Abraham Lincoln was born in a one room log cabin in Nolin Creek In Kentucky.

2. 1812: A brother- Thomas- was born but died in infancy.

3. 1818: Abraham (in teenage) was kicked in the head by a horse and thought him dead (for a brief period he was unconscious).

4. October 5, 1818: His mother-Nancy Hanks Lincoln- died of Milk sickness.

5. January 20, 1828: His married sister-SARAH-died during delivery, giving birth to a child.

6. August 6 1832: Defeated in an election. The village store where he worked went out of business.

7.1833: As the store was totally failed, he was badly in debt.

8. January 1835: William Berry- his store partner died. Lincoln’s debt rose to 1000 dollars.

9. August 25, 1835: Anne Ruttedge (Lincoln’s lover) died of fever, at the age of 22.

10. In summer of 1837: The marriage proposal was made to Mary Owens-was turned down. The courtship ends.

11. January 1, 1841: Broken the engagement with Marry Todd. Lincoln developed an episode of depression.

12.1843: Lincoln is unsuccessful in his trial for the Whig nomination for U.S.

13. February 1 1850: His son Edward died after two month illness.

14. January 17, 1851: His father died.

15.1855: Not chosen by the Illinois Legislature, to be as senator.

16. 1859: Douglas was chosen by Illinois legislature for the U.S. senate, instead of Lincoln.
Douglas got 54 votes. Lincoln got 46 votes.

17. November 6, 1860: Abraham Lincoln was elected as-16th United States President, as the first Republican.

The above incidents in the life of Abraham Lincoln clearly indicate that he had not given up his perseverance and toiled all his life to achieve his ultimate goal.
